New Beginnings
Time For A Writing Update!
So, last time I posted I mentioned starting a new project outside of the Chloe novels. This has been going really well and I’m making good progress on it. It feels like a bit of fresh air to move into a different setting than Chloe’s world, and get to know new characters rather than the ones I’ve been living with for more than two years now. (I realize that this is all making it sound like I’m sick of the Chloe books – far from it! This is just a nice change and I am in no way George R.R. Martin-ing my series.)
Thus far I’ve written the prologue and Chapter One. I’m pretty stoked to see how these characters develop and grow as their journey continues.
I’m also working to spruce up and get feedback on a couple of smaller projects I completed last year, both side-stories in the Chloeverse. One is a short novella, and the other is a short story. Both should be available this summer (and if you’re a newsletter subscriber, you’ll be able to read the novella for free.)
As for Book 3 of the Chloe Stewart Novels, a self-edit of the manuscript is complete, and I’ll be getting that out to critique partners toward the end of winter. If all goes well, it should move to the beta-reader stage in early summer.
We’re barely three weeks into 2025, but it’s off to a fantastic start for me, creatively at least. Now, if only this Arctic Blast would ease up…
